Our studio is located close to Shaftesbury – a historic town in Dorset, made famous in recent times for Ridley Scott's iconic Hovis ad. 

Having lived for years in North London we decided to move West with family and business at the turn of the millenium, seeking a quieter life in rural Britain. (Don't ask!) We love it here and would not easily move back to the city.

We have been in the design business for more years than we want to admit, but it seems like only yesterday that we began. Between us we have an impressive range of skills and talents (even if we say so ourselves), with backgrounds in graphic design, photography, furniture design, retailing, business consulting and training.

Shaftesbury is the Shaston of Thomas Hardy's Wessex novels, and it is one of the highest towns in England, despite its proximity to the South coast. Shaftesbury Abbey, founded in 880 AD became one of the most powerful (richest) Benedictine nunneries in England. The remains of King Edward the Martyr were interred there in 979 and for many years the Abbey was the most important in the country, with many royal links. It helps to have relics.

Dokumenta studio is situated a few minutes from Shaftesbury, Dorset, right on the Wiltshire and Dorset border. We are in a great location within easy reach of Shaftesbury, Salisbury, Blandford, Warminster, Frome, Wincanton, Warminster, Dorchester, Bournemouth and Poole.
